Thanks to The Heritage Lottery Fund, we have been involved with a Local Heritage Project with 3 primary schools in the Falkirk area; Kinneil Primary, St. Andrews and E. Carmuirs.
The project has involved each school discovering more about the heritage of a chosen site (Falkirk Wheel, Callendar Park and Kinneil Estate).
The project has involved working with lots of partnerships and experts who have helped the pupils to gain an understanding of the heritage of their site both the natural and people heritage.
The project comes to a conclusion in June 2018 with a finale where each school will present what they have discovered over the past year.
The pupils are also asked to create an informative leaflet on their site, a blog for this website and take part in a creative award... phew!
We have loved working on this project and have had amazing support and 3 great classes.
