About the event
Did you know that pollinators have been around since the first flowers grew at the time of the dinosaurs?! Come along to our session at Larbert Woods to learn about the amazing minibeasts who help grow flowers and food for us.
A two hour free family workshop where you can learn a bit more about pollinators and why they are so important. There will be nature activities, crafts and games and hopefully we will manage to spot some pollinators out and about.
This session is open to any age, booking is essential.
Please dress for the weather. We would advise covering arms and legs to avoid scratches, stings and insect bites.
Sessions will last two hours but you are free to leave at any time. There is limited parking nearby but no toilets or refreshment facilities on site. We recommend bringing a drink.
All children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the session. Activities may involve walking round the woodland so please wear sturdy shoes. If you have any access requirements or would like to know more, please get in touch: tamara@underthetrees.co.uk
The meeting point will be the picnic benches at the top of Quintinshill Drive. A map will be sent out before the event. There is absolutely no parking in the area surrounding Larbert House. There is a small area of hardstanding on Mcallister Avenue where you can park or otherwise, on Quintinshill Drive, before the entrance to the woods. Please do not park in the passing spaces.
