About the event
We are pleased to have received funding from Thrive Outdoors to run play sessions for 7-12 year olds in Stirling. These sessions will be fully outdoors and child led but may include games, crafts, tool use, fire making, physical play etc. There is an option for children to purchase a Wild Passport handbook (£6.50) before the club begins and to work on some of the skills in it, or indeed to work on the skills without purchasing the book.
If you would like to find out more about Wild Passport, please click the link: WILD Passport
To purchase a Wild Passport Booklet for your child please use the following link: https://www.underthetrees.co.uk/event-details/wild-passport-booklet We recommend booking the event first to reserve your space.
Your leaders for these sessions will be Judith and Tamara.
Sessions will take place at Plean Country Park, drop off is 10am and pick up is 1pm. You will receive specific locations by email after booking. Sessions are free to attend and are strictly for the age group specified. There are toilets at the Country Park which we can make a trip to if required but it would be helpful if all children could go before we start.
Please dress for the weather and consider the need for suncream and insect repellent. We would advise sturdy footwear and a jumper or jacket even if the weather is hot as it can be much cooler in the shade of the trees. It will also help protect against insect bites. THERE WILL BE MUD! We like to embrace everything about the outdoors so we won't be telling children to keep clean. Therefore please do not bring any clothing that you are not happy getting dirty.
Children should bring a packed lunch and a drink. We will be able to supply extra drinking water and water for washing hands.
